Carolina Cooker® Charleston Style Rice Steamer 7.5 Qt.

About 30 years ago, I found Charleston rice cookers at my local Piggly Wiggly. I bought 3 because I had been looking for one for years and they were really inexpensive. I ended up giving two away to people who appreciated the cooker and would use them, plus, I knew where to get more. When I went back to the Pig to purchase another back-up, their were none to be found and the staff had no clue to what I was talking about. For years I would hear that a specific place was carrying them, but when I would go to purchase one the store had no idea what I was talking about. I would also do occassional online searches to see if there were any for sale but was never able to find a Charleston rice cooker. The one I currently own looks like it was part of Noah's cargo during the flood, but it still works great. While I had family staying with me recently, I used my cooker several times for different purposes and they were all interested in this unusual pot that could not only make the best rice but also be used to reheat BBQ, steam vegetables and make red rice. We did a quick Google search, and this one popped up right away. Now I finally have a backup, and they make a perfect gift for anyone who loves to cook. This is the best rice cooker one could ever use. It reheats left over rice that taste like you just cooked it. We have used this rice cooker in our family for over 75 years. My mother introduced this pot to our family, and we give these pots as gifts to family households. They are hard to find and was thrilled when I went online after an in-depth community search and found these at Agri Supply. Thanks for stocking them. Will shop for more soon.

I am so happy that we found this steamer again. Since I can remember as a child, my mother ALWAYS had a steamer and I am 30+ years old. Whenever she went to the store, she always purchased at least 4 or 5 at a time. She made sure all 3 of her children had 1. She even has my niece using it..lol I contacted ACE hardware store last year and I was told they discontinued the steamers about 3 years ago. Last week my sister was informed that a local store had the steamers on display. I said go get me 5, I ordered 2 for my mom & my sister ordered a few as well. That's how good these steamers are. Your rice will come out perfect, trust me. You can't go wrong.
